Urgent appeal to help find missing 14-year-old Helensburgh girl

Police have confirmed that a Helensburgh teenager who was reported as missing earlier today has been “traced safe and well”.

An urgent appeal was issued by Police Scotland seeking the public's help in tracing Lila McGee, 14, who was reported missing after being seen boarding a train at Helensburgh Central station at 6.24am on Thursday, September 14.

Police said Lila's disappearance was "completely out of character".

In an update posted to social media at around 4.30pm on Thursday a spokesperson said: "We can confirm that Lila McGee, who was reported missing from Helensburgh, has been traced safe and well.
