Universal: ‘Stranger Things’ house set for Halloween Horror Nights 2023

ORLANDO, Fla. — “Stranger Things” is returning to Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights. The fourth season of the Netflix series will be showcased in a haunted house that includes the villanous Vecna character and its “blood-red mindscape,” Universal Orlando announced Thursday.

In addition, Frequent Fear Passes and other multinight tickets are now on sale on the event’s website.

Universal also revealed that four dates have been added to this year’s HHN, bringing the event to a total of 48 evenings. Visitors will now be able to experience Horror Nights through Nov. 4.

The 2023 edition of the “Stranger Things” house will include Hawkins Lab, Creel House, demobats, Eleven and other characters, Universal said.

“We’re excited for our fans to live Vecna’s curse as we re-create the iconic and terrifying moments from the show,” said Lora Sauls, assistant director, creative development and show direction at Universal Orlando Resort, in a news release.

The first season of “Stranger Things” was featured in a haunted house in 2018, and its second and third seasons were combined in a 2019 HHN house.

“From the opening shots of ‘Stranger Things 4,’ episode one, we knew this was meant to be an experience at Halloween Horror Nights,” said John Murdy, executive producer of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, which also will have a “Stranger Things” house this year.

Two other houses have been announced for 2023 Horror Nights in Orlando: One is based on the “Chucky” television series, and one is based on “The Last of Us” video game. There will be 10 haunted mazes, five scare zones and two shows this year.

Frequent Fear is here

Multinight tickets now available on the official website include the Rush of Fear pass, which includes the first 17 nights of the event. Its posted price is $179.99.

The Frequent Fear pass includes 30 nights, including opening weekend, Halloween night and every Sunday of HHN. The price is $229.99.

The Frequent Fear Plus pass is 40 nights, which is every night except the eight Saturdays after opening weekend. Its price is $269.99.

Holders of the Ultimate Frequent Fear Pass can go every night for $374.99.

These passes can all get Express upgrades that cut down on wait time for the houses. Prices vary by pass, topping out at $919.99 for the Ultimate Frequent Fear Pass with Express.

There is a ton of small type including a new requirement that buyers must select the pass start date at time of purchase. In addition, these passes include six months of Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming service, for free. Single-night tickets and R.I.P. tours are also on sale.
