Two teenagers have been hit with more charges over an attempted restaurant arson linked to the ongoing tobacco shop wars gripping Victoria.
A 14-year-old boy from Mulgrave and 16-year-old from Pakenham, both in Melbourne's southeast, are accused of trying to set The Link restaurant in Mill Park, in the northern suburbs, alight last month.
The alleged arson attempt took place on Thursday, February 27 at about 3.40am.
It follows the girl being charged with two counts of criminal damage by fire, conduct endangering life, conduct endangering serious injury and theft of motor vehicle on March 2.
That same day the boy was charged with aggravated burglary and theft of motor vehicle.
The duo will appear at a children's court at a later date.
The earlier charges relate to an aggravated burglary in Wonga Park on February 20 and an arson attack at a tobacconist on Sturt Street in Ballarat around 3.35am on February 28.
Police allege the Wonga Park burglaries happened when a white Isuzu D-Max and silver Ford Ranger were stolen between February 19 and 20.
The Ford Ranger was then used in a firebombing on the Emerald Reception Centre in Thomastown on February 22 before it was found burnt out in Bundoora.
Police allege the other ute was involved in the Mill Park attempted arson and Ballarat tobacco shop.
A 20-year-old St Albans man was charged on Thursday, 29 February in relation to Thomastown arson.
Eight children have now been arrested as part of the wider investigation, known as Taskforce Lunar, with a total of six charged.
The investigation remains ongoing.
