Two drivers rushed to hospital after head-on smash on Scots road

Two people were rushed to hospital after a head-on crash on a Scots road.

Cops were alerted to the two-vehicle smash on the A811 in Balloch at 7am on Tuesday, February 28 and raced to the scene.

Both drivers were rushed to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley but no more information is available on their condition at this stage.

A 34-year old man has been charged in connection with the incident and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a crash involving two cars at the roundabout on the A811 Balloch, Alexandria, around 7am on Tuesday, 28 February, 2023.

“Both drivers were taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

“One driver, a 34 year-old man has been charged in connection and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
