This week, we saw how Donald Trump was endorsed by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott as the former president paid a visit to the state. Trump, who is the front-runner to get the GOP presidential nomination, said that if he gets reelected he'll resume his tough measures against illegal immigration.

We reported on why Latinos won't talk politics at the Thanksgiving table and on why Jenna Ortega said she won't be a part of 'Scream 7', a few hours after fellow actor Melissa Barrera was fired from the film.

Former President Donald Trump visited Texas near the border with Mexico where he insisted on his promise to strengthen measures to stop illegal migration and resume massive deportations.

In his visit, Trump's campaign received the endorsement of Texas governor Greg Abbott for the 2024's presidential campaign.

Prominent Latino political figures, advocacy organizations, and celebrities are denouncing a recent "soft" interview with Donald Trump and demanding a meeting with Univision executives to address concerns about the network's handling of misinformation and biased campaign coverage.

Some of the U.S. largest Latino-led organizations addressed a letter to Univision in response to the network's interview with Trump aired on Nov. 7.

Most Argentine voters have economic issues at the top of their list of concerns, with an economy ridden by decades-long inflation -currently running at 140 percent- and a currency that has lost most of its purchasing power in the past years.

One of the most vocal supporters of dollarization both in Argentina and the global scene is Steve Hanke. A professor of Applied Economics at Johns Hopkins University, he advised Argentine Pres. Carlos Menem from 1989 to 1999. He was the architect of Montenegro's dollarization in 1999, when he served as a State Counselor and as chief advisor to Pres. Milo Dukanovic. Hanke also served as an advisor to the Minister of Economy in Ecuador when it dollarized in 2001.

In an interview with The Latin Times, Hanke assured that dollarization is "feasible and desirable", listed the first measures Milei should take and analyzed the main risk he should mitigate to ensure the program's success.

For many families across the U.S., thanksgiving means reuniting with family members after a long time. But bigger tables can mean higher chances of political disagreements, especially in an ever-increasingly polarized country.

Endless articles have been written about the the best -or least harmful- way to deal with these kind of conversations during Thanksgiving, going from understanding of drastically opposing views and patience to directly avoiding the issue.

The proportion of Latino homeownership in U.S. states varies widely. Almost seven out of every ten Latinos living in New Mexico, West Virginia and Vermont are homeowners, while the figure drops to less than a third in New York.

The information from Latino Data Hub shows that the country average from the 2021 Census Bureau data is 52 percent, the concrete number being 31,359,000 people at that time.

Six out of every ten Latinos residing in the United States showed preference for online purchasing over physical stores, an increase of 20 percentage points from the previous year, according to a survey released at the onset of the 2023 Holiday Shopping Season.

This part of the year, which is considered to begin with Thanksgiving and peak at Christmas, could represent a significant raise in e-commerce sales, especially in clothing.

Jenna Ortega, one of the main characters of the most recent Scream movies, won't return to play the role of Tara Carpenter in the franchise's seventh edition.

The decision became public shortly after her colleague Melissa Barrera was fired from the cast for comments deemed antisemitic by Spyglass Media, the studio in charge of the movie, leading to speculation about both events being related.

Sheynnis Palacios, a 23-year-old communication graduate and an advocate for mental health, was crowned Miss Universe 2023 in a ceremony held in El Salvador.

It was the first time a Miss Nicaragua gets the main beauty pageant in history and Palacios got it in a great fashion with her mentions to social justice and her honoring feminist icon Mary Wollstonecraft.

With conversations revolving around expansion in the NBA, Mexico City, Las Vegas, and Seattle are emerging as potential frontrunners for hosting new teams in the world's top basketball league.

From commissioner Adam Silver to executives, current players and former stars, Mexico City has been seen as having a home-court advantage.

NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal made a bold statement this week in Mexico City, launching his sneakers brand Shaq Shoes and expressing his belief that the bustling metropolis of 22 million people is ready to welcome an NBA team.

The Thanksgiving holidays are a synonym of football in the United States. Matches are a staple of these days and, while Latinos are among the biggest fan of the sport, according to the LA Times, they still represent a minuscule fraction of the league's players especially when considering that almost 20 percent of the country is part of the demographic.

The figure, however, has grown. According to a report by the Institute for Diversity and Ethics in sports, in 2021 there were only 12 NFL players identifying themselves as Latinos, less than 1 percent of the league total. The figure decreased to 0.4 percent in 2022 but ,this year, La Lista reported the number of players that are either Latinos or of Latino descent has grown to 25.
