'Traumatised' Kerry Katona 'always on high alert' now after devastating double robbery

Kerry Katona has revealed that she is still "traumatised" and "on high alert" after the double robberies she suffered at home.

The reality TV star, 42, made the comment after Montana Brown, 27 - who rose to fame on Love Island - told fans that a tracking device had been found in her bag recently.

Montana - who appeared on the ITV2 show in 2017 - took to Instagram last month to warn her followers on the platform about such devices in case they are travelling anywhere.

She more recently appeared on Good Morning Britain, with her having spoken to hosts Richard Madeley, 66, and Kate Garraway, 55, on the popular ITV show last week.

Following Montana's interview just days ago, mother-of-five Kerry has shared her thoughts in her latest column for New! magazine, which has been released today (April 11).

She wrote in the column: "[Montana] appeared on Good Morning Britain last week, saying she's learnt to be more vigilant after she found a tracking device in her luggage."

Sharing her thoughts, Kerry continued: "That's really scary. I'm always on high alert when I'm out and about in public. I very rarely travel alone, which I'm very grateful for.

"I've always been wary, but it really hit home when our two cars got stolen in the space of two weeks. That traumatised me and I now have lots of security at the house."

She revealed in 2021 that her car had been stolen whilst she was out shopping. Kerry subsequently told fans at the time that her fiancé Ryan Mahoney's vehicle was then taken from outside their home just days later.

Kerry announced last year that she had subsequently moved house, saying: "I was desperate to leave our old home after everything that happened with the burglaries."

In a previous column for New! magazine, she described her new home as "huge" and like a "manor house". She added: "It's a lovely house. [...] It feels homely and cosy."

Kerry added at the time that she wouldn't be sharing further information, writing: "This time, I've decided not to reveal any details about the house. It's just not worth it."

The latest issue of New! magazine is out now. Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV and ITVX from 6am.
