An unfortunate tram accident occurred at Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles on Saturday night, resulting in injuries to 15 individuals, as confirmed by authorities and the theme park company.

The incident prompted the dispatch of Los Angeles County Fire Department units to the theme park located on Lankershim Boulevard shortly after 9 p.m., according to a social media post by the department. Fortunately, the victims who were transported to area hospitals were reported to have sustained only minor injuries.

A spokesperson for Universal Studios Hollywood reached out to The Associated Press via email, acknowledging that there were 'multiple minor injuries' stemming from the tram accident at the theme park. However, specific details regarding the nature of the accident were not immediately disclosed.

The California Highway Patrol has been designated to spearhead the investigation into the incident, as announced by the fire department.
