Tragic Bridge Collapse Claims Lives Of Dedicated Construction Workers

Tragedy struck last week when a cargo vessel collided with a famed bridge in Maryland, causing a devastating bridge collapse that claimed the lives of several construction workers. These workers were diligently working the overnight shift to repair potholes on the bridge, which served as a crucial route for 30,000 Marylanders on a daily basis.

Among the victims of this heartbreaking incident was Maynor Yassir Suazo Sandoval, who had immigrated to the US from Honduras 18 years ago in search of a better life. Maynor Suazo, a loving husband and father of two, was remembered by his family as a kind and joyful person with a strong vision for the future.

Miguel Luna, a devoted husband and father of three from El Salvador, had been a resident of Maryland for over 19 years. Dorlian Castillo Cabrera, who hailed from Guatemala, came to the US to pursue his dreams and support his family. Described as a dedicated worker who cherished his job, Cabrera's tragic passing left his loved ones devastated.

Jose Mynor Lopez, a beloved husband and father, was known for his hard work and dedication to his family. Carlos Hernández, a 24-year-old construction worker from Mexico, was also among the victims of this catastrophic event.

Alejandro Hernandez Fuentes, a resident of Baltimore and a native of Veracruz, Mexico, was found submerged underwater in a red pickup truck along with Castillo Cabrera. The loss of these individuals has deeply impacted their families, friends, and the community at large.
