The Voice Kids coaches ‘feel like they’re on Dragons’ Den’ after sassy identical twins ask for a ‘moment’ onstage

Three coaches on The Voice Kids were left fighting over two identical twins during Saturday’s episode of the ITV competition. 11-year-old girls Shanice and Andrea Nyandoro needed to carefully make their decision, though, and at one point asked for a “moment” while on-stage.

Shanice and Andrea took to the stage and performed the Stevie Wonder and Ariana Grande version of Faith and impressed all four coaches. Ronan Keating, Danny Jones and will.i.am all turned their chairs in the hope of getting the girls to join their team.

After spotting that the coaches had turned Shanice and Andrea burst into tears mid-performance. Ronan said upon pitching himself as a coach: “The reason I didn’t turn sooner was because I was enjoying it so much. Brilliant song choice, your harmonies were on point. I loved your attention to detail, your outfits, your hair, you thought this through. I think you’ve got a huge future and I think you should totally be on Team Ronan.” What did you think of the girls’ audition? Let us know in the comments.

Danny added: “I just want to be a part of the energy that you guys have. You guys are the energy that needs to be on Team Danny.” Then Will said: “I would love for you guys to be on my team. I think you guys are amazing. I love how you guys harmonised. I love how you guys trust one another. Coming on Team Will we can have awesome fun!”

“This is the tricky part, you have to decide which coach [you want]," Ronan told the girls and they cheekily replied: “Could we have a moment please?”

Pixie, who did not turn her chair, said: “I feel like we’re on Dragons’ Den,” as the girls made their decision. Little did the coaches know that Shanice and Andrea would make them prove they had what it takes.

After chatting to each other the girls turned around and asked Ronan, Danny and Will a series of questions. These included a seemingly irrelevant question to will.i.am, “Dogs or cats?” to which he replied: “What has that got to with us? It would be cats…”

It seems that the girls were on the same page as Will as they ultimately chose him to be their coach. The Voice Kids is available to watch on ITVX and for more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
