The new Uma GTC C2 bib shorts from Assos are designed to help women answer the call of nature in the wild

Close up on the Assos Uma bibs that also include the all-new bisiClick magnetic closure system

The all-new Uma GTC C2 bib shorts from Assos are designed specifically for female riders venturing beyond the road, from gravel to light trail, and from touring to multi day bikepacking adventures. They feature the quick-release bisiClick bib strap system which Assos say will solve the bib short conundrum for female riders who need to answer the call of nature when riding well away from any facilities.

The Swiss brand Assos have been masters of their art for over forty years and make some of the best cycling clothing with many Olympic and World Championship medal wins. Testing, refining products and developing their own textiles are all part of the brands' ethos to deliver comfort and technical performance in every item bearing the Assos name.

In their new gravel-specific bib shorts, they introduce the new Uma GTC C2 Insert, that features the Assos Shock-Absorb Damping mono 9 padding which is aimed to provide compressive foam layers in a 9mm endurance platform. With Thermoformed shaping designed to reduce irritation with odorControl and UPF50+, the Uma GTC C2 shorts are designed to provide optimal comfort from touring to multi-day bikepacking tours.

The feature that will be of most interest to all our female readers is that the Uma bibs also include the all-new bisiClick magnetic closure system designed specifically for female riders looking to answer the call of nature out in the wild. Assos claim it offers quick-release convenience for nature breaks and is secure enough to prevent embarrassing unintentional unclasping.

Other features include an improved silicone leg grippers that Assos say are more robust and grips the thigh without causing discomfort. The shorts are also equipped with high-stretch pockets offering accessible storage solutions for day trip supplies or to supplement pack space. Two triple-ramp thigh pockets securely stow essentials with reflective stripes to ensure visibility on early departures, late returns, or dusks when pushing through the final miles to the next hotel or campsite stop.
