New supernatural thriller The Girl in the Mirror is set to be released on Netflix this week. The Spanish TV series, which consists of 10 episodes, has been described as "suspenseful" and "mind-bending" by the streaming giant.
The show revolves around a young woman called Alma who survives a bizarre bus accident in which almost all of her classmates die. Alma wakes up in a hospital with no memory of the incident or of her past.
The Netflix synopsis reads: “Her home is full of memories that are not hers, and both amnesia and trauma cause her to experience night terrors and visions that she cannot clarify. With the help of her parents and friends, unknown to her, she will try to uncover the mystery surrounding the accident while struggling to recover her life and her identity.”

Who is in The Girl in the Mirror cast?
Mireia Oriol stars in the lead role of Alma. She is known for her previous roles in The Pact and Amo.
Pol Monen, meanwhile, stars as Bruno. Monen is a Spanish actor who rose to fame as Carlos in Amar, a film for which he received a best actor nomination at the Goya Awards.
The series also stars Milena Smit as Nico, Elena Irureta as Aurora and Mario Tardon as Carlos.

Netflix has released a trailer for the new show ahead of its release. With haunting music as the soundtrack, the trailer shows a bus becoming engulfed by a mysterious fog before it is involved in a shocking crash.
It goes on to show Alma’s confusion as she tries to piece together what happened while plagued by strange visions. And she finally becomes convinced that what happened was not an accident.

The Girl in the Mirror is set to air on Netflix on Friday, August 19 - with all 10 episodes available from 8am. Each episode has a runtime of approximately 45 minutes.
