The Super Bowl will have an additional television home in 2024.
Super Bowl LVIII will be simulcast on Nickelodeon on Feb. 11, the NFL and CBS announced Tuesday morning on CBS Mornings. Former Vikings, Seahawks and Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson will provide commentary for the first alternate telecast in Super Bowl history.
“Nickelodeon and CBS are joining forces to produce a slime-filled telecast of Super Bowl LVIII specifically for kids and families,” Burleson said. “I’ll be back in the booth with other Nick stars co-hosting. Nickelodeon and CBS are part of Paramount Global, so shout-out to the family.”

CBS and Nickelodeon have partnered on several NFL telecasts since the longstanding league broadcast partner merged with Viacom in 2019.

During the 2020 and 2021 seasons, two wild card games—Bears-Saints in '20 and 49ers-Cowboys in ’21—aired on the venerable children’s network. In 2022, the channel carried a game on Christmas, which saw the Rams demolish the Broncos 51–14 while Patrick Star from SpongeBob SquarePants lightly mocked Denver quarterback Russell Wilson.
In addition to the Super Bowl, Nickelodeon will broadcast another Christmas game in 2023 between the Raiders and Chiefs.
