Steelers Trade QB Kenny Pickett to Eagles, per Report

The Pittsburgh Steelers are trading quarterback Kenny Pickett to the Philadelphia Eagles, Josina Anderson reported Friday. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Pittsburgh will also send a fourth-round pick (No. 120) in the deal and receive a third-round pick (No. 98) and two 2025 seventh-round selections back from Philadelphia.

Pickett was selected by Pittsburgh with the No. 20 pick in the 2022 NFL draft as the first quarterback off the board. Over 25 games (24 starts) the past two years, Pickett threw for 4,474 yards with 13 touchdowns and 13 interceptions, recording a 7–5 record in both seasons.

Pittsburgh’s decision to move on from Pickett comes during the same week that the team signed veteran Russell Wilson to a one-year deal. Pickett will now become Jalen Hurts’ backup, while Wilson is now the favorite to start in Pittsburgh.
