Stagecoach to conduct 'thorough investigation' after double decker bus hits teenage girl

Stagecoach will conduct a 'thorough investigation' into a serious collision that saw a double decker bus hit a teenage girl in Audenshaw on Wednesday evening (July 5).

Emergency services, including police and paramedics, raced to the scene of the crash on Manchester Road, beside the Snipe Retail Park, at around 5.20pm yesterday. A cordon was erected as officers inspected the scene and conducted investigations.

A teenage girl, who was on a bike, sustained serious injuries in the crash as the bus mounted the kerb and the windscreen was left shattered. A bike was pictured beneath the bus.
