St Mirren swoop for Conor McMenamin as Buddies 'agree deal' for Glentoran striker

St Mirren are edging closer to wrapping up a deal for Northern Ireland international Conor McMenamin.

The Buddies have been trying to get a move for the Glentoran striker over the line for the last week, with the Northern Irish club knocking back three initial bids.

The 27-year-old has made his feelings clear that he'd be in favour of a move to Paisley.

And now Football Insider report the clubs have finally agreed a fee that suits both parties.

That should see the forward make the switch to St Mirren as Stephen Robinson aims to bolster his attack ahead of their upcoming League Cup and Premiership campaign.

The Saints have been left short of options up front since Curtis Main turned down a new deal. Jonah Ayunga is still recovering from ACL surgery but could come back into the fold in a few months time.

St Mirren have already signed young Macabbi Haifa striker Stav Nahmani on a season-long loan deal.
