South West housebuilder invests £7m in Gloucestershire development

A South West housebuilder has invested over £7m into the Stonehouse community.

Redrow South West's The Alders at Great Oldbury, which will provided 131 new homes has confirmed that it is investing in the region.

The investment includes a number of contributions, with £250,000 to improve transport links in the area, plus a contribution of over £6m will see a new primary school built in the area.

Redrow South West also invested £264,000 to support local library services, £30,000 to support the Community Hall and an additional £222,000 for the maintenance and care of the local canal system.

Sian Smith, sales director for Redrow South West, said: “We are delighted to be providing much-needed new homes in Stonehouse, while contributing to the growth of the local community as part of The Alders at Great Oldbury development.

“Our dedication to creating vibrant communities is essential when building new homes and this commitment will benefit both new residents to The Alders and those in the surrounding neighbourhoods.

“It’s an exciting time for us and for individuals in the community, and we are delighted to be further enhancing this beautiful region with investments supporting local education and transport.”

The Alders at Great Oldbury offers a choice of three, four and five-bedroom homes from £592,995 and is located on the edge of the Cotswolds, close to the sought-after town of Stroud.
