Shopping hack to get £60 worth of makeup by only spending £20 at Boots

Shoppers can stock up on their summer beauty buys and fill their makeup bag with nearly £60 worth of products for less than half of the cost. Boots have launched a new free beauty box that shoppers will receive when they spend the minimum threshold at the checkout.

The beauty heroes box launched today (Wednesday, June 29), and contains at least £30 worth of products, including brands like Revolution, Maybelline, L’Oreal and No7.

There are seven variations of the box, each featuring a pick and mix of up to ten items, from a selection of 26 popular products and gifts.

In one of the boxes we tried, there was a Maybelline Great Lash mascara worth £5.99, and a L’Oreal Lipstick in the shade Tender Rose, worth £7.99. Some of the cheaper beauty buys are the Collection colourlash clear mascara, which doubles as a brow gel, worth £2.49, a lilac Rimmel nail paint which would normally cost £3.99, No7 biodegradable face wipes - which we previously reviewed - and a Revolution liquid lip product which costs £4.

All of the boxes contain a voucher where shoppers can get 10 per cent off on the Revolution website, and a select few will find a golden ticket to win a £500 Boots voucher. Only 10 boxes across the UK will have this most coveted prize inside.

As always, we like to look for the best ways to take advantage of this offer to get the most out of the deal. And for this particular discount, you’ll want to look for stackable offers on the Boots website.

For example, Maybelline products currently have a save £2 on the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara Cosmic when they purchase another qualifying Maybelline product. A separate deal across a range of brands also allows you to take 20 per cent off the total at checkout with the code TAKE20.

Trying to stack as many deals as possible , I added the Maybelline Eraser eye concealer, which was £8.99, Maybelline Lifter Gloss Plumping Hydrating Lip Gloss Hyaluronic Acid, also £8.99 and the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara Cosmic, worth £11.49 to my basket.

Automatically, the beauty heroes box was added to my basket, as my total was £29.47 - well over the spend threshold. My £2 was knocked off the mascara, taking the bill to £27.47, but the TAKE20 code took the damage down to just £21.97, meaning I bagged nearly £60 worth of makeup for a little under £22.

There are more than 2,000 products which qualify for the free beauty heroes box when shoppers spend £20 or more - you can find everything included here, and be sure to look out for the extra stackable offers on the right hand side of products when you click them.
