Seahawks 2024 free agency tracker: Who’s staying, who’s leaving, who’s signing

Clearly we need another tampering period before the legal tampering period, because based on the number of deals that got done yesterday it’s obvious a lot of contracts are getting worked out even before the unofficial start of free agency. The Seahawks were as usual silent for most of Day 1 of free agency, watching some of their role players sign with other teams, but late in the day they got involved, re-signing a couple of key pieces for 2024 and beyond. Let’s review all of the moves the team has made so far, including players who have left town and signed with another team.

Here’s where we will be tracking reports of who’s coming and going for Seattle during free agency.

Before we get to the free agent news, the Seahawks have also released a bunch of players for cap savings. Here’s the complete list:

  • SS Jamal Adams
  • FS Quandre Diggs
  • TE Will Dissly
  • NT Bryan Mone
  • FB/LB Nick Bellore

Restructured

The Seahawks also restructured the contracts of a couple of wide receivers. Tyler Lockett had cap numbers around $27 million in each of the last two years on his contract. Now he has just $13 million in base salary guaranteed for the 2024 season. Wide receiver Dee Eskridge also took a pay cut, worth around $400,000.

All together these moves created around an estimated $55 million in salary cap room for Seattle heading into free agency…

Leaving: TE Colby Parkinson

The first free agent move of the day involving the Seahawks was the loss of tight end Colby Parkinson. He has reportedly agreed to a three-year, $22.5 million deal with the Rams, with $15 million guaranteed.

Shortly after the Parkinson news broke, we also learned that Will Dissly – who was cut last week – is also headed for Los Angeles. He intends to sign a three-year deal with the Chargers, worth $14 million total with $10 million in guarantees.

Leaving: LB Jordyn Brooks

The biggest defection of the day was that of inside linebacker Jordyn Brooks. After a strong 2023 season coming off an ACL injury, Brooks has agreed to a three-year deal with the Dolphins worth a reported $30 million.

Staying: TE Noah Fant

Seahawks fans finally got some good news as the work day came to an end when it was reported that tight end Noah Fant is staying in Seattle. He is signing a two-year deal worth a total of $21 million.

Staying: DL Leonard Williams

The biggest headline of the day also belonged to the biggest player. Defensive lineman Leonard Williams, who was the team’s top priority to re-sign, has agreed to a three-year deal with Seattle worth a total of $64.5 million. While it’s an expensive move, it was the right call.

Leaving: LG Damien Lewis

The most-recent free agent news came late at night, when it was reported that left guard Damien Lewis is cashing in on a huge deal with the Panthers. Lewis is apparently getting a four-year deal worth $53 million, including $26.2 million fully guaranteed.

The Seahawks are also losing their kick return specialist and third-string running back. DeeJay Dallas plans to sign with the division rival Cardinals. Apparently it’s a three-year, $8.2 million deal with $2.4 million guaranteed.

Leaving: QB Drew Lock

Seattle’s backup quarterback is also on his way out of town. According to Adam Schefter at ESPN, the Giants are signing Drew Lock to a one-year deal worth a total of $5 million.

Staying: DT Myles Adams

The Seahawks will be keeping defensive tackle Myles Adams in-house. According to ESPN, the team has tendered Adams, who is an exclusive rights free agent. That means he’s under salary for just $985,000 in 2024.

Signing: TE Pharaoh Brown

On Tuesday night the Seahawks finally signed their first outside free agent of this cycle. It’s former Patriots tight end Pharaoh Brown, who’s signing a one-year deal with a $3.2 million base salary and a $3.9 million max.
