Projected first-round NFL cornerback Cooper DeJean names Ohio State WR’s as toughest matchup

Over the course of the last few seasons, Ohio State football’s wide receiver room has elevated its play and has seen many of its start go onto the NFL and continue to perform at a high level.

The rest of the conference had to deal with the Buckeye pass catchers, which projected first-round Iowa cornerback cooper dejean knows all about. In an interview at the NFL combine, the Hawkeyes All-American was asked who was the toughest player he had to defend and he chose the all Ohio State receivers.

It’s an interesting answer because Iowa and Ohio State only faced off against each other once during DeJean’s career, in 2022 a 54-10 Buckeyes victory in Columbus.

Julian Fleming went for 105-yards and a score, while Emeka Egbuka had 6 catches and 80-yards with a touchdown as well. Marvin Harrison Jr. was solid with 6 for 62-yards while finding the end zone, but Jaxson Smith-Njigba was held to just one catch for 7 yards.
