Priscilla Presley denies her family is at war over daughter Lisa Marie's will

Priscilla Presley has insisted there was no dispute with her family over her daughter Lisa Marie Presley ’s multi-million pound estate.

The 77-year-old former wife of Elvis Presley told an audience on her UK tour that granddaughter Riley Keough was ‘great’ and there was no row over money.

Speaking at the Tyne Theatre and Opera House in Newcastle upon Tyne, she said that reports of a dispute with actress Riley, 33, and her other grandchildren Finley and Harper Lockwood had come from ‘out of Memphis’ but were ‘not true’.

“We are just fine,” she said. The ‘Evening with Priscilla Presley ’ was hosted by Radio One DJ and TV presenter Edith Bowman.

She expressed her condolences following the death of Lisa Marie, 54, in January. Lisa Marie suffered cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, California.

Her heart was restarted after CPR was administered en route to West Hills Hospital in Los Angeles, but she died later that day.

Two weeks later, it was reported that Priscilla had filed paperwork challenging a 2016 amendment to her daughter’s will.

It was said to have removed Priscilla and Lisa Marie’s former business manager, Barry Siegel, as co-trustees and named Riley and her late brother, Benjamin Keough, who died in 2020, as the new co-trustees. It left Riley as the sole heir.

Lisa Marie’s half-brother Navarone, 36, confirmed Priscilla and Riley had been out for dinner following Lisa Marie’s death.

Asked directly on Instagram if the pair are on speaking terms, he insisted: ‘Yes they are fine. No feud,’ adding: ‘We did go to dinner, it went great, it’s all good.”

Lisa Marie became the sole heir to Graceland and its 17,500 sq ft (1,626sq m) mansion when she turned 25.

The mansion, which was declared a National Historic Landmark in 2006, was opened to the public as a museum in 1982 following the death of Elvis five years earlier.

It brings in more than 600,000 visitors each year and is second only to the White House as the most visited home in the United States.

Priscilla was co-founder and former chairwoman of Elvis Presley Enterprises, the company that turned Graceland into one of the top tourist attractions in the USA.

The audience in Newcastle for the April 6 show heard how she had fought hard to protect the trademark rights of the families of famous people following the death of Elvis.

She also spoke of her film career including ‘Naked Gun’ and in TV series such as ‘Dallas’. The audience was shown many family portraits of Priscilla and Elvis on a giant screen onstage, along with ‘home movies’ from their time at Graceland.
