The Poundland version fits in with the store's low cost clothing range as a PEP&CO. A spokesperson said it's their mission to ensure families spend less on clothes and are proud to offer "fresh and exciting fashion ranges for the whole family at amazingly low prices."

"We firmly believe in keeping things simple and fuss-free to keep our costs low – this in turn keeps prices down for our customers, so they really can ‘spend a little, get a lot.’ Prices at PEP&CO start at £1 and 95% of the range is under £10."

The high street giant is to open or relocate 50 new shops by the end of September this year. The huge expansion plans will see Poundland open half a million square feet of retail space and create up to 800 new jobs.
