Following the announcement of a nationwide arena tour, Peter Kay has confirmed a monthly residency at The 02, London. The Bolton comedian announced on Sunday night that a huge new UK comedy tour would open in Manchester this December.
The tour will also include dates include dates across the UK and Ireland throughout 2023, it was confirmed during adverts on Sunday night's I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here. The residency at The O2, which was confirmed by the comedian as he co-hosted the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show with Zoe Ball, will start on Friday, December 15 and run until Saturday, November 18, 2023.
As Ball revealed, Peter Kay is the first artist in the world to perform a monthly residency at The 02, London. “Audiences in London have always been amongst the best in Britain, plus I think seeing the show could be part of a nice weekend away treat," Kay told the radio host.

“It’s good to get back to what I love doing best, stand-up comedy and if there’s ever a time people need a laugh it’s now. And with the cost of living at an all-time high, ticket prices are starting from £35. The same price they were on my previous tour in 2010."
The comedian will head out on his first stand-up tour in 12 years in December, starting on home turf at Manchester's 02 Arena on December 2 and 3, before heading out to venues across the UK and Ireland including Sheffield, Liverpool, Dublin, Cardiff and Belfast. Kay's 2010 tour still officially ranks with the Guinness Book of World Records as the biggest selling comedy tour of all time which played to over 1.2m people.
On Monday night, the comedy superstar left a tiny audience of just 120 people in Salford in stitches with a new "secret" gig - a day after announcing his huge comeback tour.. He had the crowd "creasing" so much they gave him TWO standing ovations at the show finale.
Kay was back at Salford's Lowry Theatre for one of his hush-hush "warm-up" gigs on Monday night, but despite being the talk of the town - and country - after the big announcement, he didn't make any mention about the new tour on stage. Instead, fans were treated to new material and nods to some of his classic comedy moments.
