Paddy McGuinness shares unseen tribute to three children at Soccer Aid after branding co-star 'disgrace' before loss

Paddy McGuinness showed the tribute he made that viewers wouldn't have seen as he took to the pitch at Old Trafford for Soccer Aid 2023. The Bolton-born TV star and presenter laced up his football boots and donned his gloves for a stint in goal for England during the charity football match.

And after a promising start between the posts during the second half on Sunday evening (June 11), the wheels, unfortunately, fell off for Paddy when England were beaten for a fifth consecutive year by the World XI FC.

World XI captain and Olympian Usain Bolt scored the first goal of the match before half-time. Sex Education star Asa Butterfield got England level in the second half, just before long-distance runner Sir Mo Farah tackled Bolt to the ground.

Minutes later, former Manchester United player Paul Scholes scored for England before needing treatment on the pitch. Former Republic of Ireland captain Robbie Keane then grabbed the spotlight, with his World XI team’s second and third goals.

But it was Love Island star Kem Cetinay, who commentators said is now the all-time top goal-scorer in Soccer Aid history, then made it 4-2 and clinched the latest win for the World side.

Before the game, Paddy took to Instagram to share how he'd hopefully added a bit of luck to his attire for the star-studded match. Before getting into their kits, both teams were both seen sporting matching Primark suits. And each player was also delivered Soccer Aid-branded Puma trainers.

But Paddy, 49, went a bit extra and showed how the names of his children - Penelope, Leo, and Felicity - had been written on the side of his footwear.

The unveiling of the sweet sentiment came after Paddy appeared to show a case of the green-eyed monster as he took aim at former Love Island star Tommy Fury. The Top Gear and Question of Sport host jokingly mocked the Manchester boxer as he walked around topless during training.

Paddy could be heard shouting his football rival as he appeared in the distance and as Tommy, 24, looked up to acknowledge him, Paddy shouted: "Get it away son… get it away. No one wants to see it." Then in another clip, Tommy could seen having a drink with his fellow Soccer Aid stars after training.

But appearing to want to mock Tommy again, Paddy took his phone under the table as he revealed the sportsman had a blanket over his legs. "This is a disgrace!" Paddy remarked, tongue-in-cheek, before adding: "His little leggies are cold!"

Sharing the video with his two million followers, Paddy captioned the post: "I’ve got a lot of time for this lad but this kind of behaviour is outrageous!!!! @tommyfury."
