O2 launches Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra deal that drops price of handset by £500

Tech shoppers on the lookout for a 2023 tech deal can get £500 off the latest Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra devices if bought as part of a specific tech bundle. It's currently one of the biggest money-saving deals we've seen on the market, but it's only available to shoppers who click a certain data package.

It's the latest offer from provider O2 which sees the multi-hundred-pound saving slashed off its usual monthly price when bought alongside one of three data packages. Available on either the S23 or the larger S23 Ultra device, customers can get the £500 saving on either the 25GB of data, 150GB of data or O2's unlimited plan.

A handful of brands have released deals on the two flagship models in recent weeks, including Amazon who have taken £440 off the price of its combined S23 bundle. It's not the first time we've seen huge savings like this, following in the footsteps of Sky Mobile who offer shoppers more than £400 off the iPhone 14 series if bought alongside its 75GB of data deal.

O2's £500 saving is split up over the course of the full 24-month plan as the S23 Ultra device is reduced by £212 from £1,482.94 to £1,270.94 and an £8-a-month saving on the individual data deals for 36-months (£288 saving on data in total).

The offer can be applied on both the S23 Ultra handset, now from £49.48 a month with a £30 upfront fee or the cheaper and smaller S23 device, at £34.34 a month and the same £30 upfront fee.

Having looked at the deal we'd recommend customers to go for the full unlimited plan as it gives users more for their money, on the standard S23 device it's just £2.01 more expensive than the much smaller 150GB data plan.

The same can be said for the bigger S23 Ultra device which costs £58.48 a month with the unlimited data plan compared to the £56.47 150GB plan, no matter what data plan customers choose they will still make a guaranteed £500 saving.

The combined handset and data deal isn't the on;y money-saving offer on our Mirror Choice radar at the moment as its separate individual data deals are a good option for customers with an existing handset.

O2's 150GB SIM-only deal is usually priced at £22.99 a month, but up until July 5th customers can get this for just £11.99, making it cheaper than the smaller 30GB plan. O2's Unlimited 24-month plan is also reduced to £16 a month for the first six month in its half price deal. After month six it rises back to its £31.99 price for the rest of the plan.
