Man Utd claims provide Nottingham Forest transfer boost amid Dean Henderson links

Nottingham Forest appear to have been handed further encouragement in their hopes of securing a permanent deal for Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

The goalkeeper impressed during his loan spell at the City Ground last season having made vital saves for the Reds earlier in the campaign before picking up a season-ending injury in January.

It is his performances in the first few months of the 2022/23 season which have led the club to try and sign him this summer, as they look to strengthen their goalkeeping department with Wayne Hennessey currently the Reds' only senior shot-stopper.

Nottingham Forest handed transfer hope after fresh claim made

Nottingham Forest have reportedly kept Santos youngster Angelo on the radar despite seeing bids turned down earlier this year.

Forest offered €1million for his services on loan in January which included an obligatory €18m transfer fee if Steve Cooper's side stayed in the Premier League. Angelo caught the eye in the Copa Libertadores as he became the youngest player to feature in the competition at just 16 years of age.

He was also subject of a £17m bid from Newcastle United, but that was also knocked back by Santos. It is claimed that Forest's initial interest in the player has "cooled down," according to Brazilian outlet Lance.
