Chelsea's Millie Bright has made a return to the Lionesses squad for the first time since October 2023, as Sarina Wiegman announced a 28-player squad for England's UEFA Women's Euro 2025 qualifiers scheduled for this summer. Another notable inclusion is Chelsea forward Aggie Beever-Jones, who receives her first call-up after participating in the senior squad's training camp in Marbella back in February.

The squad, initially comprising 24 players with an additional four on standby, will gear up for the upcoming international windows in June and July. Among the players on standby are Manchester United's Maya Le Tissier, Liverpool's Missy Bo Kearns, Tottenham's Jessica Naz, and Southampton's Kayla Rendell.

The Lionesses are set to clash with France in Newcastle on May 31, followed by a return fixture in Saint-Étienne on June 4. All 28 players are expected to report to St. George's Park on May 27. Subsequently, England will face their final two matches in July, taking on the Republic of Ireland in Norwich on July 12 and Sweden on July 16.

The squad for the July matches will be selected from the 28 players named today. Following the May/June window, players will have a period of rest before engaging in a three-day training camp at St. George's Park from June 19-21. This will be followed by a five-day preparation camp from June 24-28 and a final camp in the Netherlands from July 1-5, including a behind-closed-doors training fixture against the Netherlands.

Players will join the preparation phase at different stages based on their club commitments. The squad includes goalkeepers Mary Earps, Hannah Hampton, and Khiara Keating; defenders Millie Bright, Lucy Bronze, Jess Carter, Niamh Charles, Alex Greenwood, Esme Morgan, Millie Turner, Leah Williamson, and Lotte Wubben-Moy; midfielders Grace Clinton, Fran Kirby, Jess Park, Georgia Stanway, Ella Toone, and Keira Walsh; and forwards Aggie Beever-Jones, Lauren Hemp, Lauren James, Chloe Kelly, Beth Mead, and Alessia Russo. The standby list comprises Maya Le Tissier, Missy-Bo Kearns, Jessica Naz, and Kayla Rendell.
