Mets rookie Francisco Alvarez couldn’t help but watch a homer he blasted into the stands at Citi Field

New York Mets rookie phenom Francisco Alvarez has been one of the few bright spots in an otherwise tough season in the Big Apple.

During a Tuesday night tilt at Citi Field against the White Sox, Alvarez blasted a homer into the stands and slowed up his walk from the plate to be able to watch the ball hit the stands.

It’s the kind of confidence that makes stars in the MLB, and it’s the kind of delightful moment Mets fans really need more of this season.

If you’re wanting a reason to get out to Citi Field to see the disappointing Mets, Alvarez seems happy to do some convincing.

Alvarez is one of the league’s young standouts, and his rookie season should give New York fans plenty to be excited about for the future.

While this might not be the year for the Mets, it might be a year with plenty more Alvarez homers for him to watch as they leave the baseball diamond.
