Man in court charged with killing 80-year-old woman in Queen's Park

A man has been charged with murdering an 80-year-old woman in Queen's Park.

Steven Clark, 50, of Bravington Road, Kilburn, appeared in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

He is next due to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday.

Police were scrambled to an address in Fourth Avenue in Queen’s Park at 4.15am on 20 March.

Pensioner Ursula Uhlemann had received treatment from paramedics already but was pronounced dead at the scene.

Clark was arrested and later charged with murder. Officers believe the pair were known to each other.

A police statement added: “Ursula’s family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

“A post-mortem examination gave provisional cause of death as compression to the neck.

“Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are investigating.”
