Magnolia Pictures has released a trailer ahead of the May 3 release of 'Catching Fire: The Story of Anita Pallenberg,' a documentary that delves into the life of the legendary muse to the Rolling Stones. The film features Scarlett Johansson providing the voice for Pallenberg, based on the words of her unpublished memoir.

In addition to Johansson's portrayal, the documentary includes insights from Pallenberg's children, Marlon and Angela Richards, as well as their father, Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones. Directed by Alexis Bloom and Svetlana Zill, the film offers a comprehensive portrait of Pallenberg, showcasing her multifaceted roles as a rock 'n' roll actor, muse, and mother.

The documentary premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last year, where it garnered positive reviews. Critic Owen Gleiberman described Pallenberg as a 'beautiful and imperious scenester of the '60s and '70s,' highlighting her influence as a Hollywood actress and icon of scruffy-chic rock royalty. Gleiberman also noted Pallenberg's association with Keith Richards and her impact on the Rolling Stones.

Featuring a blend of Pallenberg's memoir and a rich archive of home-movie footage, the film provides an intimate look into the personal lives of Pallenberg and Richards. Viewers are invited to witness the offstage moments of the couple, offering a glimpse into the tranquility of their shared experiences.

The documentary traces Pallenberg's introduction to the Rolling Stones in 1965, when she encountered the band during a concert in Munich. Pallenberg's involvement with Brian Jones, a member of the Rolling Stones, further adds depth to her story, showcasing her connections within the music industry.

'Catching Fire: The Story of Anita Pallenberg' promises to be a compelling exploration of a pivotal figure in rock 'n' roll history. The film is set to hit theaters and video-on-demand platforms on May 3, inviting audiences to immerse themselves in the captivating narrative of Pallenberg's life and legacy.
