Love Island leaves ITV viewers demanding final is delayed due to 'major' issue

Love Island bosses are facing demands from disgruntled viewers to push this year's final back, due to the fact that none of the couples as things stand at the moment, 'deserve' to won the £50,000 prize.

With Casa Amor always arriving midway through a series, the current run of the ITV show is scheduled to end in around three weeks time; but many fans have the same issue - they're not convinced by any of the couples currently in the villa. Going into Casa. Tyrique and Ella seemed like obvious frontrunners, until she then threw a major spanner in the works, by returning to the main villa alongside bombshell Ouzy, who she already knew from back home in Scotland.

After her brutal Love Island axe a few wees ago, Molly returned as a Casa new girl, with her and Zach now rebuilding their romance; however fans still aren't sure that they're the real deal and Montel's very public apology to Leah, after straying while she was in Casa Amor, did little to win any viewers round.

Wednesday's Love Island saw one couple get the boot from the show, and another left under threat, after viewers had another chance to vote for their favourites and, ahead of that, many fans were very vocal online with their lack of faith in any of the pairs in the running for the five figure winners' prize at the moment.

At a loss at who should win or who will have any sort of future outside of the show, one critic took to Twitter to post: "There’s not one single couple that’s genuine. It’s just become a race to get to the final by any means. I love LI but this series is the absolute worse for people whose only goal is fame. Maybe it’s run it’s course" Equally unimpressed by the romantic prospects of any of them, a second tweeted: "Not one serious couple in sight, push back the final," with a third, echoing those sentiments, joking: We’ll have a winter love island at this point"

Also calling for the final to be delayed ibn order for ar least one 'secure' couple to emerge in the coming weeks, another viewer wrote: "We’re 5 weeks into this show and there’s not a single settled couple, producers are gonna have to push back the final because we’ve got nothing."
