Love Island fans demand change and fume 'it's not funny anymore' as villa 'curse' returns

Love Island fans have spotted the return of the 'yellow bean bag curse' this week and took to Twitter to demand the superstitions surrounding the bean bag come to an end once and for all.

During this week's 'unseen bits', the Islanders were heard discussing the yellow bean bag and why it should be avoided.

Some of the Islanders were clueless to its powers as the others explained that "things turn to s**t" for anyone who sits on that particular bean bag.

Love Island narrator Iain Stirling weighed in on the debate and quipped: "You can't blame all this on a joke we did on unseen bits. There must be something else at play."

He then joked that "double-denim" was responsible for this year's latest batch of drama.

Iain remarked: "All this despair is down to the double denim demon."

Love Island viewers were divided over the return of the supposed curse as one tweeted: "Not the yellow bean bag having a curse a whole year on #LoveIsland."

Another added: "I have to say, if I saw a yellow beanbag anywhere I wouldn’t sit on it #LoveIsland #UnseenBits," and a third said: "The curse of the yellow bean bag is back #LoveIsland."

However, another fumed: "Let the yellow beanbag thing die it’s not funny anymore #unseenbits #LoveIsland."

"The curse of the yellow beanbag returns omg #LoveIsland," a fifth shared and someone else wrote: "Please let this yellow beanbag GO #LoveIsland #unseenbits."

Meanwhile, Molly previously joked the reason for her drama in the villa was due to the "yellow bean bag theory".

She told Mitchel: "I knew I shouldn’t have picked the yellow one on one of the first days" to which Mitchel asked: "Bad luck?”

Molly replied: “Yeah," before Mitchel pointed out: "I did tell you!"

Last year, finalist Tasha Ghouri explained the Islanders were avoiding a particular seat in the villa because it brought bad luck.

She said: "That yellow bean bag, there is a very proven fact that it does bring drama every time someone sits on it... it happens.

"So obviously if you want to go sit on it, I wish you well, but you've basically brought it on yourself because the drama happens. So... it's obviously a proven fact."
