Louis Rees-Zammit winds up Dillon Lewis in kicking challenge as Wales stars in stitches

Wales' international stars took part in a kicking challenge together this week and Dillon Lewis' ability putting boot to ball was prime entertainment for Louis Rees-Zammit.

In a new series of videos sponsored by Vodafone, episode one saw the players take part in a forwards v backs contest: The Grubber Challenge.

Wales Women scrum-half Keira Bevan and flanker Alisha Butchers teamed up with Rees-Zammit and Lewis for the challenge, with Butchers and Lewis on one team and Rees-Zammit and Bevan making up the opposing side.

The goal was simple: to hit a perfect grubber into a small net. Easier said than done, even for the pros.

Rees-Zammit lined up his first effort, saying: "Right or left foot?" to which Lewis quipped back: "You can't kick off either!"

This came back to bite the new Harlequins signing, as he missed his effort, much to the hilarity of Bevan, Butchers and Rees-Zammit.

Bristol Bears flanker Butchers nailed her effort to tie the scores, before Lewis completely shanked his turn. Rees-Zammit held his hand out sarcastically, saying "fair play". Lewis turned down the offer, laughing and gently shoving his team-mate into the tackle bags.

Scrum-half Bevan had the pick of the bunch with her winning kick, slotting a side-footed grubber straight down the middle.

Rees-Zammit took this as an opportunity to wind up Lewis even more, saying: "Yeah, you brought absolutely nothing. Well, we both did!"

The Wales men's team are currently in World Cup mini-camp ahead of the tournament in France after the summer.

Wales Women enjoyed a fantastic Six Nations earlier this year, finishing third in the table with three wins, and are now preparing for World Rugby's inaugural WXV competition in New Zealand this autumn, for which Wales have qualified for the top tier.
