Loose Women and four other popular ITV shows will not air on Wednesday

Loose Women is among four other popular ITV shows that will not air Wednesday to make way for royal content as part of special programming.

The Queen made her final journey from Scotland to London earlier today following her death at Balmoral last week, which has caused normal TV schedules to be postponed for almost a week.

Channel bosses say an ITV News special will mean Dickinson's Real Deal, Tenable, Tipping Point and The Chase won't be shown tomorrow either.

Lorraine will air from 9am to 10am, while This Morning will broadcast from 10am until 1pm with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby at the helm of the show.

It isn't the first time ITV has altered its schedule since the Queen's death, with the broadcaster having made changes to its programming over the last few days.

Loose Women has been just one of the shows affected by the schedule changes. It hasn't aired since last week, having been replaced by content focused on the Royal Family.

The Chase will no be on TV tomorrow (ITV)

ITV is expected to reintroduce more of its normal programming over the coming days though, but there may be further alterations to the schedule, as it is subject to change.

ITV confirmed this morning it will broadcast the Queen's state funeral next week, which will be held at Westminster Abbey in London on Monday September 19.

The event will be shown "live and uninterrupted" on ITV and simultaneously on its digital channels, in what it has described as the "largest outside broadcast" in its history.

Good Morning Britain will preview the ceremony earlier in the day, and the evening will see the broadcast of a documentary chronicling the events of the past 10 days.
