Liam Neeson reveals his 'particular set of skills' in forklift operation when he used to work for Guinness

Liam Neeson has revealed that he not only has a 'particular set of skills' when it comes to acting but he once was a forklift operator in his hometown before fame.

The Ballymena actor shared his work experience before appearing on the big screen at a recent event to mark his 100th film Marlowe.

Attending the premiere of the Neil Jordan detective film, which broadcasts on St Patrick's Day on Sky Cinema, the 70-year-old divulged into his history in what many would consider a dream job.

Speaking to LADbible Ireland on the red carpet, the Taken star confirmed his time at the Guinness bottling plant that used to operate in Ballymena.

Neeson said: "I loved it - it was a great job actually. My job was when the cases of Guinness came down, someone was stacking them on a palette, once they were stacked my forks would go in and lift them.

"Either load the lorry or stack them where they needed to be."

He also explained how he is still ready to take on the role of a fighter in any upcoming movies.

Despite turning 70, Neeson said he loves to do his fight scenes and will continue to do them while he can.

He said: “I do the fighting, but as regards stunts, stunt I regard falling over a table or coming through a window I have a great guy, Mark Vanselow.

"We’ve done 27 films together. He’s my guy. On fighting, I love doing that myself.

“Oh yeah, I’m only 70,” he said laughing.
