Kym Marsh leaves fans in tears after unveiling unique tribute to her dad as he battles incurable cancer

Kym Marsh has left fans emotional after unveiling a unique tribute she got for her dad whilst he battles an incurable cancer. The 47-year old actress, who currently stars as dinner lady Nicky Walters in the BBC revival of Waterloo Road, showed off a striking tattoo to mark her dad Dave's love for ice cream.

The former Coronation Street star, who played the long-running role of Michelle Connor in the ITV soap from 2006 to 2019, revealed she had got a tattoo of an ice cream on her forearm after her dad has become 'obsessed with ice cream'.

Kym, who shot to fame as a singer in the pop group Hear'Say, was left heartbroken after discovering her father was given an incurable prostate cancer diagnosis in 2021. After delaying going to the doctors due to the Covid pandemic, Kym revealed the devastating news that the disease had spread to her dad's pelvis, spine, ribs and left leg.
