Judge Denies Trump's Request To Delay 5M Fraud Case Payment

The judge overseeing Trump's civil fraud case has denied Trump's request to delay finalizing the $355 million order. The judge issued the order on Friday, but it will only go into effect once it is entered into the court docket. Trump's lawyers requested a 30-day delay to ensure an orderly process due to the magnitude of the judgment. However, the judge found no basis for the delay and indicated that he would enter the judgment today.

Once the judgment is officially entered, Trump will have 30 days to appeal the decision and pay the $355 million, plus nearly $100 million in interest, or post a bond. If no alternative arrangement is made, Trump will need to comply within the 30-day period. Additionally, part of the judgment includes a ban on Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and Eric Trump from running a business in New York. The latter two individuals are also prohibited from serving as directors or officers of a New York business for two years.

It remains unclear who will take over the reins of the Trump organization following these restrictions. Spokespeople for the Trump organization have not responded to inquiries regarding this matter. The judge's decision signifies a significant development in the case, with Trump facing a tight deadline to comply with the substantial financial obligations and business restrictions imposed by the judgment.
