Jeremy Renner excitedly plans to attend Super Bowl LVIII in person

Jeremy Renner is a passionate fan of the San Francisco 49ers.

Jeremy Renner, the esteemed actor and devoted San Francisco 49ers fan, is brimming with confidence as his beloved team gears up for Super Bowl LVIII. After a thrilling comeback victory over the Detroit Lions, Renner eagerly awaits watching his Niners take on the formidable Kansas City Chiefs.

Expressing his elation, Renner shared with PEOPLE in January his utmost optimism about the Niners' chances at securing a Super Bowl win. He believes that the team's strong roster and overall good health give them a significant advantage, especially compared to the heartbreaking turn of events they faced in the previous season.

The 2022 season for the 49ers witnessed the emergence of rookie quarterback Brock Purdy and their subsequent qualification for the playoffs. Unfortunately, they were eliminated by the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship due to several player injuries. However, fortunes have now turned, and Renner, who will also star in a Super Bowl ad for Silk this year, is fully committed to a 49ers victory.

Renner spoke passionately about his unwavering support for the Niners, expressing his joy at having a team to root for. To him, there is no plan B in life or career, as it only symbolizes a potential path to failure. With his characteristic determination, he confidently claimed that the Niners will not lose, and thus, no contingency plan is necessary.

Despite currently being in Pittsburgh filming the third season of Mayor of Kingstown, his Paramount+ thriller, Renner intends to attend the big game in person at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. While he resides in Washoe County, Nevada, he hails from Modesto, California, just a couple of hours west of San Francisco. Renner considers the game a must-attend event, given that it falls on a weekend and takes place in Vegas, making it easily accessible for him.

In addition to his appearance at the Super Bowl, Renner will grace the screen through his Silk ad. The ad depicts him joyfully dancing to James Brown's 'I Got You (I Feel Good)' while preparing breakfast for his 10-year-old daughter, Ava.

During an interview with PEOPLE on the set of the 'Feel Planty Good' ad in Los Angeles, Renner explained why this opportunity to publicly display his physical fitness after a snow plow accident in 2023 was significant, particularly with his daughter by his side. He referred to it as a beacon of hope for both of them, marking a new chapter in their recovery and life journey together.

Renner expressed his gratitude for being able to immerse himself in life once more, beyond the confines of a hospital bed or his home. The ad serves as a powerful representation of his progress and a testament to his resilience.

As Super Bowl LVIII approaches, Jeremy Renner stands as a steadfast supporter of the San Francisco 49ers. With unwavering faith in his team and an undeniable spirit of perseverance, he eagerly anticipates witnessing their triumph in person.
