Jalen Hurts reflects on wild card loss, late season collapse, and Nick Sirianni’s job status

Jalen Hurts is the face of the Eagles franchise, which meant he was last to face the media during Wednesday’s locker room cleanout at the NovaCare Complex.

Most of the day was spent discussing Philadelphia’s late-season collapse and the potential firing of head coach Nick Sirianni and his coordinators, Brian Johnson and Sean Desai.

Hurts on talk of Sirianni's potential departure

It sounds like Hurts didn’t give Sirianni an initial vote of confidence because he didn’t think his head coach was in danger.

"I didn’t even know that was a thing. I didn’t know that was a thing. So I don’t see why that wouldn’t be the case. We plan on fixing everything that we’ve done and growing together, Coach Sirianni, Brian, everyone."

It’s looking like Sean Desai and Brian Johnson won’t be retained, and Hurts was asked about having any potential input in the new hires.
