ITV This Morning star coming to Merseyside for Southport Flower Show

A This Morning star is one of the special guests confirmed for the line-up of the Southport Flower Show.

People across the region are eagerly awaiting the return of the UK's largest independent flower show, which will take place from August 17 - 20. Many stars have been confirmed for the event, including celebrity chef Phil Vickery, who is renowned for his role on This Morning.

The chef regularly whips up a variety of tasty treats for broadcasters such as Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on ITV's flagship daytime programme. People will now be able to witness his culinary skills first hand as he will host a cooking demonstration.

Love Your Garden presenter Katie Rushworth and Skinny Jean Gardener Lee Connelly will also appear at this year’s show. Lee will be encouraging kids to get involved with family gardening on August 19.

This is some of the family friendly activities on offer that people can enjoy, which will also include garden and floral displays, a shopping village, arena entertainment and live music.

Other celebrities confirmed for the event include Gardeners' World's, Frances Tophill, and The Great Pottery Throw Down's Keith Brymer Jones.

Southport Flower Show regularly attracts over 55,000 visitors across 4 days. Early bird tickets now on sale for £22 until the end of April. Children under 16 go free. You can get tickets here
