Israeli Airstrike Hits Residential Block In Gaza, Casualties Reported

Palestinian rescuers search for casualties under the rubble of a house hit by an Israeli strike

An Israeli airstrike targeted a residential block in Al Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, resulting in tragic consequences. According to reports from Al-Aqsa Martyrs hospital, the strike led to the deaths of at least two individuals and left 14 others injured.

Footage captured after the airstrike reveals a scene of utter destruction, with debris and rubble scattered across the area. Several buildings have been severely damaged, with one completely flattened and others stripped of their facades. The aftermath shows a grim picture of destruction, with smashed parts of buildings strewn amidst the rubble.

The video also depicts residents, including numerous children, sifting through the wreckage of their homes. One Palestinian man is heard questioning the rationale behind the Israeli forces' attack, emphasizing that the inhabitants were civilians, not militants.

Inside one of the demolished homes, three children - two boys and a little girl - are seen amidst their belongings, which now lay in ruins. A 6-year-old boy named Zein Katamesh expresses his sorrow over losing everything he held dear, including his toys, clothes, and bed.

In response to the incident, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement reiterating their mission to dismantle Hamas military capabilities. The IDF emphasized their commitment to following international law and taking precautions to minimize civilian casualties, contrasting their actions with what they described as Hamas' deliberate attacks on Israeli civilians.
