I tried a £10 dupe of Charlotte Tilbury's £45 'magic eye cream' and looked 'instantly refreshed'

Charlotte Tilbury is a luxury brand loved by A-listers and influencers, but with a luxury brand comes a luxury price tag.

Its magic cream has been hailed as a 'hero' product and for £45, lets just say I'd be expecting miracles with a tiny 15ml pot for that price. The cream is said to have a 'supercharged formula' to help reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness and has proved extremely popular for beauty lovers.

The product includes a whole bunch of fancy sounding ingredients including 'retinol molecule' and 'daphne stem cell extract' to tighten and firm under eye bags. Granted, I'm sure the 15ml pot is bound to go a long way, but many shoppers (myself included) can't really afford to drop £45 on some eye cream - that's where Revolution can help.

Revolution has been taking over the world of dupes recently, offering numerous different affordable alternatives to Charlotte Tilbury products including its £15 instead of £34. Now, the popular brand is offering a £10 dupe of the £45 magic eye cream, and I thought I'd give it a whirl.

First impressions? The packaging is lovely. It has a golden tint to it that makes it look generally expensive and is very similar to the Charlotte Tilbury aesthetic.

The cream itself almost has a bit of a shimmer to it which makes it look very luxurious indeed. It has a sort of pretty peach colour, and is reasonably thick in consistency.

I actually found the consistency a little odd at first - it was almost gooey, but once I'd applied it to my under eye area I understood why the product had sold out on the website, I was blown away.

It had a really cooling feel to it once applied to my eyes, and it soaked into sensitive eye bags very softly. The cream almost made my eye bags look airbrushed and reduced general puffiness almost instantly.

If you're after a clean and polished no makeup look without looking like you've just woken up, I'd definitely recommend popping some of this on as part of your skincare regime. Formulated with niacinamide, jojoba oil and shea butter, the ingredients seem just as effective as the Charlotte Tilbury product.

One thing to bare in mind is to not layer this eye cream with other creams, I found after combining it with my Elemis pro-collagen marine cream that the product collected and became a little flaky on my face, but that's something that can be easily avoided, just don't overload on products.

I felt refreshed instantly after using this eye cream and I'm definitely going to be making another purchase once it's ran out. Revolution...you've exceeded my expectations once again!
