How holidaymakers could save 30% on airport transfers this summer

If you are leaving on a jet plane anytime soon, coach company National Express is offering 30% off the cost of airport transfers for O2 Priority and Virgin Media customers.

Passengers on National Express Birmingham, Bristol, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, London Luton, London Stansted and Manchester Airport routes could be set to save money to spend at the airport, with reduced fares available on coach travel until July 23, 2023.

The discounted rates are available to O2 Priority and Virgin Media customers via a code, but savvy travellers will need to act fast, as the reward deal expires on June 18.

Airport services run both day and night and National Express routes give travellers the freedom to hop on at hundreds of pick-up points in major towns and cities across the UK, before being conveniently dropped outside their chosen airport.

Taking the coach is usually a lot less expensive than booking a private taxi service, with transfers starting at as little as £5.00 depending on where you are travelling from.

This particular deal operates on a ' first come, first served' basis, with discounted tickets limited to 5,000 bookings in total.

Passengers bringing luggage with them can take one medium-sized suitcase or rucksack and one small piece of soft hand luggage per person travelling, free of charge. Luggage must not exceed 20kg, with maximum dimensions of 70cm x 30cm x 45cm.

Additional items of luggage will cost extra and must be paid for when booking online.

Saving money on travel can help make your holiday feel even more relaxing, and by saving a few pounds on UK travel you'll be off to a great start before you've even boarded your flight.

To ensure you are able to make the most of the discount, tickets must be booked online and the deal cannot be used for tickets purchased at National Express coach stations, ticket machines, customer contact centres or on-board coaches.

If you are planning on using a coach transfer for your return journey, you would need to book that at the same time to qualify for the discount.

Booking fees may apply and you can find out about any exclusions and non-qualifying journeys, here.

How to save money on National Express airport transfers with O2 Priority

This handy reward provides 30% off an adult or child ticket price, for a National Express journey on one of their airport transfers, for up to three people.

To redeem the offer, customers must tap ‘USE NOW’ on the O2 Priority app before being directed to the National Express website. Paste or enter your unique discount code at checkout to receive the savings.

If you aren't an O2 customer but you are still looking for affordable transport to and from the airport, companies like Flixbus offer reliable coach services from a variety of destinations throughout the UK.

Alternatively, if you would rather let the train take the strain, the ticketing website thetrainline.com provides train times and ticket prices for journeys to a variety of domestic airports, leaving from towns and cities across the UK.
