Home Bargains is set to open dozens of bakeries across the UK, including here in Merseyside.
The huge bargain retailer is known and loved across Merseyside and beyond for its cut-price range of groceries, toys, homeware, gardening, beauty products and more, and now one new product has shoppers talking. Just recently, shoppers rushed to get their hands on an "unreal" dessert.
Now, the retailer, originally founded in 1976 in Liverpool, has announced stores in the UK will be fitted with new bakery sections, which follows a successful trial in Stoke-on-Trent in 2021, Birmingham Live reports. Merseyside stores include Holt Road, Norris Green, Southport, Old Swan, Litherland, Speke and more.

A Home Bargains spokesman said: "In recent years the market for fresh baked good in the UK has grown significantly and the bakeries we have introduced at stores nationwide have allowed customers to enjoy our competitively priced fresh bakery range. We are looking forward to introducing more bakeries in stores as we roll out our fresh bakery range for customers across the UK to enjoy."
Products on sale include a pack of five sausage rolls for £1.09 and baguettes for 75p. Shoppers can also pick up cinnamon whirls for 55p, two vanilla crowns for 79p and ten mini doughnuts for £1.
