Harry and Meghan's Netflix deal 'isn't ending anytime soon' due to 'deeply valued bond'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not be parting ways with Netflix, despite rumours this collaboration would be the next to go.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have confirmed their $20million (£16million) deal with Spotify is over, causing speculation that the couple would soon be parting ways with Netflix.

A source had claimed the streaming giant wanted Harry and Meghan to come up with "more great ideas" if they wanted to take home $50million (£40million) in outstanding fees.

However, Netflix has denied the rumours and confirmed that they have a strong connection with Meghan and Harry.

"The bond with Archewell Productions is one we deeply value. Harry & Meghan launched as Netflix's most spectacular documentary debut to date," a Netflix spokesperson said.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, they added: "Our exciting journey with them isn't ending anytime soon.

"We're currently collaborating on numerous projects, including the much-anticipated documentary series Heart of Invictus."

The Heart of Invictus series is set for an August premiere date.

Meghan and Harry's explosive docuseries went down a storm earlier this year, becoming the streaming giant's most-watched documentary.

Across the six episodes, Harry detailed the breakdown in relations with his brother, Prince William, which he claims resulted in an argument at the Sandringham summit.

The Duke of Sussex also took aim at his dad, King Charles and discussed the tense Megxit crisis meeting held with the Queen in January 2020.

The statement from Netflix comes after Spotify and the couple released a joint statement announcing their decision to part ways.

Meghan and Harry's Archewell Audio signed an exclusive $20million (£16million) deal with Spotify at the end of 2020, as they attempted to be financially independent after breaking away from the Royal Family.

Meghan hosted the podcast Archetypes, which ran for 12 episodes from August last year.

On it, she interviewed a range of celebrities including Paris Hilton, Mariah Carey and Serena Williams.

The joint statement said: "Spotify and Archewell Audio have mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together."
