Hammerstone Studios And A24 To Produce Death Stranding Film

Exploring The Top Political Photographers In History

Alex Lebovici's Hammerstone Studios is making waves in the film industry with a lineup of exciting projects. One of their upcoming releases is the dystopian action comedy Boy Kills World, set to hit theaters on April 26. Following this, the studio has a busy schedule ahead, including producing Mel Gibson's directorial feature Flight Risk starring Mark Wahlberg, collaborating with Sam Raimi on the horror thriller Don't Move, and working on the highly anticipated Kung Fury sequel with David Sandberg, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Michael Fassbender.

One of the most significant projects in the pipeline for Hammerstone Studios is the adaptation of the acclaimed video game Death Stranding. With creator Hideo Kojima's approval, the studio is teaming up with A24 to bring this unique universe to the big screen. While there were rumors of Jordan Peele directing the film, Lebovici clarified that Peele is not involved in that capacity. The project is currently in the story development phase, promising a groundbreaking adaptation unlike any other in the video game genre.

A24, known for producing critically acclaimed films, is excited to be part of the Death Stranding project. The studio's interest in the film stems from their admiration for Kojima's work and the innovative storytelling approach he brings to the table. The film aims to explore the mysteries of the 'Death Stranding' event and the nightmarish creatures it unleashed in a world on the brink of collapse.

In a statement, Hideo Kojima expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with A24, highlighting the studio's unique contributions to the film industry. He emphasized that the Death Stranding movie would not be a typical game adaptation but a cinematic experience that transcends boundaries and appeals to a wide audience.

While fans eagerly await the release of Death Stranding, Boy Kills World offers a taste of Hammerstone Studios' creative vision. This action-packed comedy promises an immersive experience akin to a video game brought to life, featuring a stellar cast led by Bill Skarsgård. Audiences can catch Boy Kills World in theaters starting April 26, distributed by Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions.
