A popular Glasgow Malaysian eatery in the southside has made a starring appearance in a new BBC TV show delighting viewers.
Julie’s Kopitiam, based on Pollokshaws Road in Shawlands, appeared in the new series, The Hairy Bikers Go Local, with Si King and Dave Myers meeting owner Julie Lin to try some of her food.
The pair then set out to play "matchmaker" by finding some incredible suppliers from around the west of Scotland to help supply the top Glaswegian chef with some incredible ingredients.
Speaking about the episode, Julie said: "I still can’t believe this happened, and I’m still so grateful.
"These are two of the biggest names I’ve worked with to date and they were the most down-to-earth, kind, humble, supportive souls. The whole week was a pleasure."

In the episode, Julie treated the pair to delicious dumplings made using locally foraged mushrooms and one of her specialities, her Singapore Chilli Crab.
Suitably impressed, Si and Dave then headed to Troon to meet local Langoustine fishermen, before heading over to Whitehill Farm in Ayr to meet some top venison producers.
Finally, they made their way down the road to meet the team behind the innovative Blackthorn Salt Company.
And fans were delighted to see Julie and her much-loved restaurant on TV.
One fan said: "Brilliant programme Julie's Kopitiam. You are a natural in front of the camera and that food, wow, looked amazing."
While another added: "So glad you are getting more recognition for the beautiful food you serve. Bravo."
Another joked: "Do you deliver... to Cornwall?"
One person wasn't so happy posting: "Never managed to book in there - it'll be impossible now!"
"What was the deal with their parking?" pointed out one eagle-eyed viewer. "They literally just dumped their bikes in the middle of a thoroughfare for both cars and pedestrians. Nice bit of parking by the lads."
