Glasgow food and drink collab as chicken and cocktail favourites team up for summer

A popular Glasgow eatery and bar are set to team up together in a Glasgow food and drink collab the city and its locals didn't know it needed. And it's happening this summer.

The people behind McFly's Chicken, which previously operated a wingbar in Glasgow's south side now have a weekend spot at the ever popular Dockyard Social. And now they are set to work alongside Max's Bar.

The Glasgow venues just announced the brand new collaboration which will see the popular chicken brand find a new home in Glasgow's city centre. From June 19, people will be able to see what the guys behind the brands are up to - and it's not one to miss.

The pair are set to operate a three-month kitchen take-over this summer to serve their Pan-Asian style fried chicken, alongside new summer cocktails developed by Max's cocktail extraordinaire Zach Sapato.

McFly's full food menu will return to Glasgow with tasty treats such as So Soy Wings and Tuk Tuk Thai Tenders available again after a hiatus since they left the Southside. Max's will serve up Frozen Margarita's both indoors and in their large beer garden which has been a perfect spot in the recent heat.

Commenting on the news, Marisa Capaldi who is heading up the McFly's team in Glasgow said: "We are absolutely delighted to be joining Max's Bar to create the food and drink collab Glasgow didn't know it needed. We've been inundated with messages from die hard McFly's fans who were sad to see us leave the southside, and we couldn't be prouder to open our first city centre restaurant. We know that a cold beer or cocktail is the perfect match for our crispy, flavourful chicken - so Max's was a no brainer."

Dario Bernardi from Max's Bar said: "We're always on the lookout to provide the best offer to our customers, and McFly's Chicken are the perfect partner. It's been great working with their team to make our shared vision a reality - great service, great food with a great drink - all under one roof."

Customers will be able to book tables in Max's Bar to enjoy McFly's full food offering from next week.
