Girls Aloud stars in mini onstage reunion as fans go wild at Olly Alexander’s Mighty Hoopla set

Girls Aloud fans couldn’t believe their luck when they were treated to a mini reunion during Olly Alexander’s Mighty Hoopla set at the weekend.

The Years & Years singer, 32, brought out special guests Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts to perform the Girls Aloud classics The Promise and Call The Shots at the festival in London’s Brockwell Park on Sunday.

Roberts and Walsh stood either side of Alexander, who seemed in his element and showed during the performance he was very au fait with the song’s choreography and the band’s trademark poses

Videos of the moment soon flooded social media with those who were unable to be there in person venting their frustration.

“The [fear of missing out] I have right now,” wrote one person on Twitter.

“I’m dying. Knew I should’ve been there,” bemoaned a second.

Taking to her Instagram account the day after, Walsh shared a series of pictures and thanked Alexander for inviting them to be part of the special moment.

She captioned her post: “I’ve been Hoopla’d! Thank you Olly Alexander and Mighty Hoopla for inviting me and [Nicola] to the party! Absolute privilege to perform with you and your gorgeous team …. nothing but good vibes.”
