Gemma Atkinson says 'we made it' as she details wish for daughter Mia ahead of due date just days away

Gemma Atkinson has shared her delight after making it through her daughter Mia's 4th birthday as her due date is just days away. The pregnant TV and radio host, 38, is expecting her second child with professional Strictly Come Dancing star Gorka Marquez this month.

To mark their first offspring's fourth birthday yesterday, Gemma paid tribute to her daughter Mia on her Instagram. She shared a video featuring photos and videos of her little girl dancing at their home and enjoying time in the paddling pool.

The Hits Radio host then shared a sweet link to Mia as she set the video to P!NK's track F**kin' Perfect and wrote: "Forever our song, forever perfect to me. Happy Birthday Mia! 4 wonderful years with you."

As she awaits the arrival of her baby boy any day now, the former Emmerdale and Hollyoaks actress from Bury told her fans that the couple 'made it' whilst sharing the wish she had that her daughter could enjoy her special day to herself.

Posting on her story to her 1.8 million followers, Gemma wrote: "We made it through the day!

"Wonderful evening with family round for Mia's b'day. Sounds daft but I'm so happy she got her day.

"I wanted to to be all about her seeing it's her last as a single child. Maybe hormones but I was emotional thinking little man could arrive too.

"Whatever happens now I'm okay with. July will be an expensive month for sure & BUT they will each have their own special day.

"Gorkas manically cleaning downstairs to get everything ready. Henry hoover is on the go! And he's in full on rest mode!

"Meanwhile I'm sat with a syringe collecting colostrum."

Gemma recently addressed the idea of having a second child after giving birth to Mia four years ago.

Speaking to her followers, the Hits Radio presenter said: "My DMs are flooded at the min with questions about if im nervous for birth this time around after what happened last time. Because lots of 2nd time mums to be had a similar experience.

"For those that don’t know, with Mia, my waters broke on the 2nd and I ended up needing an emergency C section on the 4th which 2hrs later resulted in a big postpartum hemorrhage.

"Not exactly what we had in mind but from speaking openly about it I’ve met SO many couples who went through the same. It’s more common than I thought!

"I’d by lying if I said it hadn’t crossed my mind that at almost 38wks I’ll be very soon bringing my little man into the world, BUT, I’m so much more calm and in tune with it all this time around.

"I know every pregnancy is different. From only 2wks pregnant I felt different this time. Carrying Mia was a breeze in comparison to this little dude. I’m far from an expert but what I’m telling myself this time is below, it may help some of you."
