The Australian leg begins in Perth on Shows are booked for Perth at RAC Arena on July 30, followed by Adelaide Entertainment Centre on August 3 and then Newcastle on August 5. The tour includes two shows at Qudos Arena in Sydney on August 6, Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on August 12 and 13 and a show at A More Perfect Union Festival in Hobart.

The new album, angel in realtime, was inspired by Gang of Youths lead singer and songwriter David Le'aupepe's exploration of the 2018 death of his father and the grief, guilt and acceptance surrounding it.

Newcastle Herald music journalist Josh Leeson said, "Gang Of Youths deserve respect to aiming for greatness with an album in the era of streaming. On Angel In Realtime they land agonisingly close."
